The Waiting RoomRaleigh Little Theatre's production of The Waiting Room. By Samm-ART Williams September 8-24, 2006 Stage: Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre Pullen Innes lies in intensive care at Memorial Hospital. His family and friends gather and some long held family secrets are revealed. "The waiting room of a hospital is a four-walled dose of the most vicious truth serum ever known to man. Months, years, decades of lies and deceit suddenly dash with the speed of light to the fore. Everybody feels compelled to tell the truth when waiting for some good sign, some good news about a fallen loved one who now lies in medicated pain, sedated to the core, slowly creeping towards death's door." All of a sudden, these waiting relatives become prime candidates for the "Let's Get Right With God" ticket. This is the mixture of explosive drama and comedy that ignites the pompous piety of this play which unravels convoluted histories. Can it be true that, "the truth shall set you free?” The cast of The Waiting Room was: Jessie: LeDawna Akins View the photos taken by Stuart Wagner See the rest of the photo archive.
